Never Fear The Dentist Again With Sedation Dentistry

sedation dentist crestview floridaDue to unnecessary fear and anxiety, many people avoid the dental office, and this means they will not receive their needed treatment.

More than 75% of the American public fears going to a dentist,  according to recent research! Scary stories they have heard from friends and family, or their own bad past experiences give rise to these unnecessary fears. Movies they have seen are even the source of some their fears.

You never really need to fear a dental office again, whatever your reasons for anxiety and fear. Our ability to provide a comfortable experience for you has never been better or greater, due to the great advancements in dentistry over the years.

We can make the procedure you need comfortable and simple because of the allowances of new sedation dentistry techniques. Give us a call if you have any sedation dentistry questions.

We have been helping patients with anxieties and fears here in our offices for over 20 years, and for your convenience, we offer these three types of comfort and sedation dentistry:

Nitrous Oxide

This “laughing gas”, as most people know it, is used for simple fillings or routine cleaning treatments, and is the most common form of sedation. Your entire dental treatment can be a relaxing experience thanks to this simple form of sedation.

Sedation By IV

During IV Sedation, the vital signs of the patient are monitored throughout the entirety of the procedure, as the sedation is administered via IV. The patient will have been sleeping during the entire procedure, in this case, and will awaken only at the completion of the procedure.

If a patient must return to school or work after completion of the procedure, it will be especially beneficial for them to understand their need for sufficient recovery time before they leave.

We are able to reverse the after-effects of local anesthesia within a 25-30 minute period of time, by administering Oraverse, if a patient does not want to deal with the normal time it takes for a numbing agent to ear off.

Conscience Oral Sedation

We currently offer oral sedation for our patients who wish to remain conscience, and yet come to us with gagging problems, or a higher than normal amount of fear and anxiety. Throughout the entire procedure, we monitor closely their vital signs, once we give them a combination of pills.

Once they take the pills we provide to them, the patient becomes extremely relaxed and drowsy, and after their appointment, most of them remember nothing.

You will not be put to sleep with oral sedation, and during the entire procedure you will be able to respond to the dentist and his team.

Our Priority Is Your Comfort

In order to provide you with the most comfortable possible experience, we work tirelessly here at our office. We will gladly answer any questions you may have concerning our sedation services. Please give us a call today.
